Rücktritt: Steve Jobs ist nicht mehr Apples Chef! – UPDATE

Diese News wurde gerade von Reuters über Twitter bekannt gegeben und dann hat BusinessWire diese Nachricht bestätigt: Apple Chef Steve Jobs hat soeben seinen Rücktritt erklärt. Seine Kündigung als Apples CEO soll er vor ein paar Minuten dem Aufsichtsrat vorgelegt haben. Steve Jobs wird die Firma aber nicht verlassen, sondern wurde als Chairman des Aufsichtsrates gewählt. Er wird zukünftig also nicht mehr das Unternehmen leiten, will der neuen Führung aber weiterhin beratend zur Seite stehen. Als neuer Chef von Apple wurde Tim Cook gewählt, der zuvor als COO für Apple tätig war und bereits 13 Jahre für die Firma arbeitet.

Steve Jobs hatte schon einmal Apple als Chef verlassen, wodurch das Unternehmen an Wert verlor und in eine tiefe Krise rutschte. Erst als Steve Jobs zurück kam und mit dem iPod, gefolgt vom iPhone und iPad drei neue und extrem erfolgreiche Produktgruppen einführte, wurde Apple so wertvoll wie sie es momentan sind. Vermutlich wird die Apple Aktie in den kommenden Stunden fallen.

Wie gesagt, gerade erst wurden erste Informationen zu dem Rücktritt von Steve Jobs bekannt, genaue Details und Gründe wurden von Apple noch nicht genannt. Vermutlich ist Steve Jobs aufgrund seiner Krankheit zurück getreten, um seine Privatsphäre zu schützen, wird er darauf zurecht sicherlich nicht genauer eingehen.

Jobs submitted his resignation to the Board today and strongly recommended that the Board implement its succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO.

He also headed Apple’s Macintosh division and played a key role in the continued development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.
