Acer Iconia Tab A200 offiziell vorgestellt – bekommt Ice Cream Sandwich!

Nachdem wir das Acer Iconia Tab A200 schon in zahlreichen Bildern und sogar einem geleakten Werbespot gesehen haben, hat Acer das Tablet nun endlich in einer Pressemitteilung offiziell vorgestellt. Damit sind nun auch alle Daten bekannt. Das Iconia Tab A200 ist ein 10 Zoll Tablet mit dem 1GHz DualCore NVIDIA Tegra 2 Prozessor und einer Auflösung von 1280×800 Pixel. Außerdem sind 1GB RAM und je nach Version 8GB oder 16GB Speicher integriert – an dieser Auswahl und dem “relativ alten” Tegra 2 Chip sehen wir schon, dass Acer mit dem Iconia Tab A200 das untere Preissegment abdecken will. In kürze soll das Tablets bereits in einigen Ländern auf den Markt kommen, vorerst aber noch mit Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Erst im Januar 2012 soll das Acer Iconia Tab A200 mit Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ausgeliefert werden und dann soll es auch ein Update für die Android 3.2 Modelle geben. Einen Preis nennt Acer in der Pressemitteilung nicht, in den ersten Gerüchten war aber immer von 299 Euro für die günstigste Variante die Rede.

Das Acer Iconia Tab A200 soll nur die unteren Preissegmente abdecken und dementsprechend wird es kein Modell mit UMTS/HSDPA geben. Dafür ist selbstverständlich Wlan integriert und GPS und Bluetooth fehlen auch nicht. Außerdem verfügt das A200 über einen vollen USB 2.0 Port, sowie eine 2 Megapixel Kamera auf der Vorderseite. Hinten befindet sich keine Kamera, was bei einem 10 Zoll Tablet auch nicht tragisch ist.

Wie ihr auf dem Bild oben erkennen könnt, hat Acer eine eigene Oberfläche auf Android 3.2 Honeycomb gelegt, die später bei Ice Cream Sandwich sicherlich auch zum Einsatz kommen wird. Diesen Acer Ring haben wir schon einmal auf einem MeeGo Tablet des Herstellers gesehen, das bisher aber nie erschienen ist und es vermutlich auch nie auf den Markt schaffen wird.

Unklar ist noch, ob das Acer Iconia Tab A200 auch in Deutschland bald erscheinen soll, oder bei uns erst im Januar 2012 erhältlich sein wird. Ersteres ist auf jeden Fall wünschenswert, denn für 299 Euro klingt das A200 nach einem super Tablet und eine starke Konkurrenz zum Archos 101 G9.
