Crashtest: iPad 2 vs. Motorola Xoom vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab vs. BlackBerry Playbook[Video]

Die ganze Vorderseite eines Tablets besteht aus Glas, zumindest wenn der Touchscreen kapazitiv ist, was bei allen hochwertigen Tablets der Fall ist. Bei YouTube haben die Jungs von ElectronicsBreak in einem Video das iPad 2 von Apple, Motorola Xoom und das 7 Zoll Samsung Galaxy Tab draußen auf der Straße mit dem Display nach unten Fallen lassen. In einem anderen Video lassen sie auch das BlackBerry Playbook auf den Boden Fallen. Das Ergebniss: Beim Motorola Xoom und iPad 2 ist das Display hinüber, das Samsung Galaxy Tab und BlackBerry Playbook hingegen kommen noch recht gut davon, aber auch hier gibt starke Kratzer - das liegt sicher an dem kleineren Display. Ich hab auch schön öfters das iPad und andere Tablets fallen lassen, wenn man eine stabile Hülle hat, bricht das Glas nicht - ich hab aber auch noch nie ein Tablet draußen auf Beton fallen lassen! Eine gute Hülle ist das Geld also Wert, hier noch ein Crashtast vom iPad 2 mit dem SmartCover - andere Hüllen sind sogar besser, da sie auch die Rückseite schützen:

    I just wanna say, they are idiots…. OK, they might have lots of money to afford such test. But really, how could an idiot think that some small simple test can prove anything about comparing the robustness of tablet products….They even did not have enough equal settings for the drop.

    It is just a laughable test, to prove that they can destroy some tablets.

    HOW ABOUT THIS….try to perform a more statistically sound test method like….doing crash test over minimum of 20 pieces of each kind…then we can talk about comparison!!!! Otherwise, this test is a JOKE…
